These terms are the agreement between you and Control LaunchPad LLC ("ControlLaunchPad", "we", "us") for the ControlLaunchPad partner program. Partners share a link or a code, and earn a commission when a team they referred pays for ControlLaunchPad. You accept these terms when you apply.
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. A business can join through a person who can act for it.
- We can't accept partners in Cuba, Iran and North Korea, or anyone a US sanctions list names.
- ControlLaunchPad staff can't be partners. If a partner joins our staff, their partner account is paused.
- We review every application and may approve or decline it at our discretion. We'll email you either way. After a decline you can apply again after 30 days.
- One partner account per person. Keep your account details accurate, including your payout details.
- Once you're approved you get a link and a code. Opening your link stores a first-party cookie in the visitor's browser for 60 days. It holds your code, a random id and the time, and nothing about the visitor.
- If someone opens more than one partner's link, the last valid link they opened counts. Someone can also type your code at sign-up; a typed code counts for the partner it names.
- A referral counts only for a new workspace created through our sign-up page while your link or code applies. One partner per workspace. If a customer forgot your code, we may add the referral by hand before their first payment.
- You can change your code once. Old links keep counting for 90 days. We may change a code that's misleading or too close to our brand.
You earn 15% of what a workspace you referred actually pays us for its subscription, after discounts and before tax, for its first 3 months of payments, counted from its first real payment. For a yearly payment, you earn 15% of 3 months' worth of the year (the amount times 3/12).
- Free trials, $0 invoices and fully discounted invoices don't start the window or earn anything.
- AI credit packs and other one-time purchases don't count.
- Only payments made through our payment provider count. Amounts paid outside it, or credited from a balance, don't.
- Commissions are in US dollars. Each is rounded to the nearest cent once, on each payment.
Each commission is pending for 30 days after the payment it comes from, then it becomes payable. A commission on a referral we're reviewing (for example, a possible self-referral) stays pending until the review ends.
- If a payment is refunded, we take back the matching part of its commission. A partial refund first comes off any part of the payment beyond the customer's first 3 months, and only then off the part you earned on. We never take back more than the commission.
- If a customer disputes a payment (a chargeback), we take back what's left of its commission. If the dispute is settled in our favor, we give it back.
- If the commission was already paid to you, the amount taken back is subtracted from your next payout. A negative balance carries forward until later commissions cover it.
- We pay once a month, by PayPal or Wise, when your payable balance is $50 or more. Smaller balances carry over to the next month.
- Before your first payout you need a payout email and a tax form on file, and you need to have accepted the current version of these terms.
- If you replace your payout email, we check the new one for 7 days before a payout goes to it, so we can make sure the change was really you. We email your account when payout details change.
- We pay our side of the sending fee. Any fee charged on your side, including currency conversion, is yours.
- If a payout is returned to us (for example, the email isn't a working PayPal or Wise account), we'll show it in your dashboard and send it again once your payout details are fixed.
Before your first payout, upload a signed W-9 if you're a US person or business, a W-8BEN if you're a person outside the US, or a W-8BEN-E if you're a business outside the US. Tax forms are stored encrypted and only our owner can open them. We may report payments to tax authorities, for example on a 1099-NEC, and payments through PayPal may also be reported by PayPal. You're responsible for the taxes on what you earn.
Promote us honestly. In particular:
- Say clearly that you're a partner and may earn a commission wherever you recommend us, as the US Federal Trade Commission requires.
- No spam: don't send messages to people who haven't agreed to hear from you, and follow the email, texting and calling laws that apply to you.
- No misleading claims about our product, prices or results, and don't present yourself as us or as part of our team.
- Don't bid on ControlLaunchPad or similar terms (or misspellings) in search ads, and don't register domains or social accounts that use our name.
- No coupon, deal or cash-back sites, and don't promote your code as a discount: it isn't one.
- No cookie stuffing, hidden frames, pop-ups or anything else that sets your cookie without the person choosing to open your link.
- No self-referrals: you can't refer yourself, a workspace you own or belong to, or one paid for with your own card. If you join a workspace you referred, we review that referral and may void it.
If we find a referral or commission that breaks these rules, we may void it, take back what was paid for it, and pause or end your partnership.
- We may pause your partner account, for example while we look into a concern. While paused, new clicks and sign-ups don't count and payouts wait; referrals you already made keep earning.
- Either of us may end the partnership at any time. Email us at support@controllaunchpad.com to end it. After it ends, commissions you earned that weren't voided under these terms are still paid, at the usual $50 minimum.
- If a partnership ends because of fraud or a serious breach of these terms, unpaid commissions are void.
We may update these terms. We'll tell partners by email or on the partner dashboard at least 30 days before a significant change takes effect. Payouts need the current version accepted. If you don't agree to a change, you can end the partnership before it takes effect.
You're an independent contractor, not our employee, agent or representative. You can't make promises or sign anything on behalf of ControlLaunchPad. You may use our name and logo only to recommend us, as these terms allow, and must stop when the partnership ends.
The program is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, and our total liability under these terms is limited to the commissions we paid you in the 12 months before the claim. You'll defend and indemnify us against claims arising from how you promoted us or from your breach of these terms or the law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be heard in the courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming. Please email us first so we can try to resolve it together. Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy also apply where they're relevant.
